Where does the best mans partner sit

Why not invite her on your hen night and then sit her on a table with some of the girls she'll already have met? Also there were quite long gaps between courses at our wedding so the BM can always mingle and go down and chat to her. She'll be fine, don't get too stressed about it. I wouldn't sit her on top table, realistically she's a grown woman so should be able to socialise with other people.

Husband is best man.. where does that leave me?

MOG is on her own so we were sitting my h2bs daughter by her. So then felt my 2 daughters shouild be on top table. But sitting the best mans wife up there will make the table to big She is also an usher so could sit her with the other usher maybe May I am having 3 bridesmaids and 3 best men so we are having them on top table with h2b and i!

We are not having our bm wife on the table, she is sitting on the table infront with there 2 sons. Emellia Posts: I think it is nice to be able to let other couples sit together on your wedding day. You could have your best man and his wife on a seperate table near the top table - i'm sure they would rather that than being apart.

I know it is your day but I personaly wouldn't like to be split from my H2B at a wedding - its a time for everyone to celebrate relationships. You don't say what age your daughters are - perhaps they would rather be on tables with other friends? Not usually no. We sure as hell aren't having best man's wife anywhere near me, I can't stand the woman.

She was only invited because it's apparently rude not to invite the wife It's nice to let couples sit together though. I know I sort of wanted to be sat next to my partner at my sister's wedding. Could you put the wife near the top table but not neccisarily at it?

So she and hubby are still near each other maybe? DanielleandGavin Posts: It's all very political table planning don't you think? My H2B has 2 best men and originally i wanted me,H2B. Both sets of parents and MOH. However, they can only fit 8! Traditionally no. All our attendants have partners or spouses and it is crowded already with 10 of us on it. Natmo Posts: 2, Hi ya, it depends on how many people you are having on the top table, i am actually having best mans partner at the TT as we get on, and also i would hate it if my H2B was best man at his weddign and i had to sit away from him for hrs for meal etc.

Silkeuk Posts: My bridesmaid's husband, and the best man's wife are sitting on the top table with us. I agree with others that weddings are a time to celebrate relationships and it's much nicer to sit couples together.

I know I much prefer to sit with my partner at other weddings, so I'm treating my guests the way I like to be treated. We are sitting our Best Mans partner with our Chief Bridesmaid partner they are both very freindly outgoing people so are happy to be without their partners for a few hours as otherwise like you are TT gets too big! Rhubarbulous Posts: 1, I'm relieved I'm not the only one splitting up best man and partner. Ostensibly it's because there isn't enough space, but really I'm with Purple Monkfish on this - I just don't want the woman on my top table!

It sounds mean and I feel a bit guilty about it but I don't want to have to sit with someone I dislike on my wedding day. I'll put up with it any other time but having been stuck with her on so many occasions when everyone else has lost patience I can't bear to do it on my wedding day.

I'm just not that saintly. I agree it's not great to be separated from your partner at a wedding, and I'm seating one of my bridesmaids on another table so she can be with her husband for that reason, but the best man needs to be on the top table for the speeches and my fiance wants him there.

We are having Bride and Groom and Both sets of parents on top table Then as my sister is marrying an Isreali so lots of our guests speak hebrew etc we are having me MOH and my hubby usher and my 2 children pageboy and flowergirl plus my nan and grandad an 1 circular table to the side of top table and then the Best man grooms isreali brother and hs wife plus grroms best friends etc on a circular table the other side The remailing 4 bridesmaids will be dotted around the room with their families etc and people they are comfortable with As the 2 families have had little chance to get to know one another because of the distance my sister has decided she would rather we were all comfortable and confident rather than sat with people we didnt know iykwim?

Its a relaxed and fairy informal day where my sisters main aim is for everyone to have fun and party I think this table plan suits her needs best MrsHobbes Posts: 1, My h2b was best man last month and he was on the top table without me. Tbh I didn't mind at all. They sat me on a table with our other friends and the table was right next to the top table anyway. The way I see it is that it's the bride and groom's day and I'll do whatever they want! I wasn't in the wedding party so fully expected to be seated apart.

Up to you really and how you think best man will react. I have only seen this once and thought it was really odd looking having partners stuck in the centre of attention. I am having Bride and Groom, 3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen, mum and dad of both Sign In or Register to comment.

How to Organize a Wedding Procession

The wedding party is usually seated at a long table with seats down one side. This is called the 'top table' or 'head table'. Who to put on the top table can be a sensitive issue, especially if the parents of the bride or groom have divorced and remarried. Make sure you resolve any such issues long before the wedding day. If the parents of the bride or groom have divorced and remarried it probably isn't a good idea to put them and their new partners together on the top table.

In a traditional wedding, the wedding party refers to the group of people participating in the ceremony with the bride and groom formally, bridegroom. The bridal party consists of the maid of honor matron of honor if she is married and the bridesmaids.

One of my bridesmaids is the girlfriend of the bet man and she has got it in her head that because she is his partner they are sitting next to each other she has already told the grooms parents and best man that she is going to eat their pork fat!!! I cant get it fully boy girl boy girl but i need my brother on the top table rather than my chief bridesmaid. Well I fully expected to be sitting at a different table than my guy who was a groomsmen at his brothers wedding but they allowed dates to be able to sit with them up there. At another wedding they just had the bride and groom and everyone else sat at whatever table they wanted. I was annoyed at the thought of having to be apart from him all night and pleasantly surprised when I did get to sit next to him.

Chipping in to cover the costs of the Bachelorette and the Kitchen Tea — while the Mother of the Bride, or even the Mother of the Groom may chip in some funds toward either party this is an exception to the rule and it would be bad etiquette to solicit anyone besides your fellow bridesmaids and the Maid of Honour for financial contributions to either shindig.

For some, planning where people sit can be a nightmare. Read below for some useful suggestions from who should sit where on the head table, to getting the right room layout. Surely people can find their own seats and sit next to whomever they want. That feels right in theory, but what happens when there are single seats left at a table, or your partners siblings are left to sit on a table right at the back?

Of course, while it is rude to separate attendants from their dates, you also need to just kinda deal with it if they make the poor etiquette choice. Not that I think anyone was saying they would advocate complaining, just thought it should be added in to be thorough. If you think you are getting a table full of strangers, I might look around for some general news topics It's so rude when the bridal party has to sit together and their dates and friends are elsewhere! Your only requirement is to have fun at the wedding! I don't know why people insist on breaking apart coupls for seating at a head table.

How to Choose Groomsmen and a Best Man

The groom usually asks males relatives or close friends to stand as his groomsmen at the wedding. He may also choose to ask the spouse or significant other of one of the bridesmaids if he and his bride spend a lot of time with them as a couple. The groom asks his brother, best friend or father to be his best man. It makes no difference whether the best man is single or married. You may also have a hard time deciding between two brothers or friends. Both men may be equally responsible and available, so putting them both in the position works out well. As soon as you can, make sure you clearly define who will be in charge of which tasks.

If your guests are sitting with people they get along with, it will make a big difference parents, then the Groom's parents and finally by the Best Man and Chief Bridesmaid. Couple using TopTablePlanner to arrange their wedding table plan.

Best mans girlfriend.

We hate to break it to you, but seating assignments are one of the least fun parts of planning a wedding. If dinner and dancing will be in separate spaces, consider putting the head table right in the middle of the room, with guests all around you. The head table should be centrally located, a focal point, and arranged so the happy couple can look out to see their family and friends. So who sits where?
